McTiernan Thanks Rob Weitzman for a Great Campaign

Dear Fellow College Republicans,

I spoke with Robert Weitzman on the evening of Wednesday, March 15, 2006. He informed me that he will no longer seek the Chairmanship of the New York College Republicans. He asked me not to release this letter until he was able to notify his supporters. Rob has been a very honorable candidate throughout this campaign, and I wish him only the absolute best luck in the future.

We briefly spoke about the future of the New York College Republicans and feel that the Empire State is once again moving in the right direction. After less than a month since I first announced my canididancy for NYCRSC Chairwoman, I am honored to be the sole candidate to lead the New York College Republicans in the 2006 elections. We have a lot of work ahead of us, but as we have witnessed in the last month (as did the President on his visit), the College Republicans in New York are no longer dormanent. We are energize and excited. Now it is time to get organized!
You may assume from the history of past campaigns for this position that now that it appears that we will be victorious at the convention, that I am done campaigning. That is further from what I plan to do. I believe that we need to be organized and already in the process of building our numbers before the April Convention. This weekend I be will traveling to colleges in the Eastern and Southern Regions. Wednesday I will be speaking at Brockport College, then attending an event at Hobart College in the Western Region. I will continue traveling the state and campaigning, no longer advocating for my campaign, rather campaigning to REBUILD the New York College Republicans back to GREATNESS!
