Brockport Endorses McTiernan

New York College Republicans:
As the Convention in April comes closer, SUNY Brockport has to seriously consider the two candidates for the State Committee Chairmanship. The candidate that SUNY Brockport will endorse must be dedicated to the New York State College Republicans. Not only is dedication a requirement, but superior organizational and leadership skills are necessary for this position. It has come to our attention that in the past, the state has been much divided and because of this, ineffective. We at SUNY Brockport feel that a united New York would be more beneficial to the organization. As College Republicans, it is our duty to elect a candidate to the Chairmanship who satisfies these requirements.
With these requirements in mind, SUNY Brockport feels that Erin McTiernan is by far the best candidate. We must unite the state during an important election year. Erin has shown that she is more than able to do the job. Her communication skills and dedication are unrivaled. Erin McTiernan has done a great deal to ensure that College Republicans around the state are working together to ensure a Republican victory in 2006. There are many examples in which Erin has proved her willingness and ability to collaborate and communicate with schools on events around the state.
One important event that Erin McTiernan has organized recently is the Hawley for State Assembly. On two different occasions, she has dedicated a large amount of time to ensure a well-run and successful campaign. During the Hawley campaign, Erin organized one of the most successful phone-banking events in the history of the College Republicans. 1,800 citizens were reached within a few hours of time. Erin’s efforts largely contributed to the success of now assemblyman, Steve Hawley. The numbers reached in a small period of time was almost unfathomable and was largely attributed to the success of Erin’s organizational and communication skills: McTiernan made the environment both friendly and efficient. College Republicans, for the first time in a long time, were united for the same cause; the Republican cause.
The Presidential Rally in Canandaigua was another event that was organized by McTiernan. The lack of leadership in the State Committee was evident when College Republicans around the state were uninformed about this important event. It was very apparent that Erin worked hard to ensure that the chapters around the state were informed of this event. She even made a special trip up to Brockport from Fredonia to make signs for the rally along with SUNY Albany College Republicans. The amount of time Erin dedicated to this rally has been evident. Not only did she make signs, but she has personally informed Brockport and many other schools of this event.
We at SUNY Brockport feel that Erin McTiernan is well-qualified for the position that she seeks. Not only has she been visible throughout the state in important events, she is also friendly and easy to work with. The SUNY Brockport College Republicans formally endorse Erin McTiernan for State Chair. We wish her the best of luck and look forward to working with her in the future.

Sincerely,

McTiernan Thanks Rob Weitzman for a Great Campaign

Dear Fellow College Republicans,

I spoke with Robert Weitzman on the evening of Wednesday, March 15, 2006. He informed me that he will no longer seek the Chairmanship of the New York College Republicans. He asked me not to release this letter until he was able to notify his supporters. Rob has been a very honorable candidate throughout this campaign, and I wish him only the absolute best luck in the future.

We briefly spoke about the future of the New York College Republicans and feel that the Empire State is once again moving in the right direction. After less than a month since I first announced my canididancy for NYCRSC Chairwoman, I am honored to be the sole candidate to lead the New York College Republicans in the 2006 elections. We have a lot of work ahead of us, but as we have witnessed in the last month (as did the President on his visit), the College Republicans in New York are no longer dormanent. We are energize and excited. Now it is time to get organized!
You may assume from the history of past campaigns for this position that now that it appears that we will be victorious at the convention, that I am done campaigning. That is further from what I plan to do. I believe that we need to be organized and already in the process of building our numbers before the April Convention. This weekend I be will traveling to colleges in the Eastern and Southern Regions. Wednesday I will be speaking at Brockport College, then attending an event at Hobart College in the Western Region. I will continue traveling the state and campaigning, no longer advocating for my campaign, rather campaigning to REBUILD the New York College Republicans back to GREATNESS!

Hofstra University College Republicans Endorse McTiernan

The Hofstra University College Republicans are supporting Erin M. McTiernan for Chairwoman of the New York State College Republicans. Erin has showed that she is a dedicated worker and supporter for the Republican Party and is determined to show the potential that the New York State College Republicans has. Her hard work and devotion is what will finally bring the positive change needed and will help unify the College Republicans.

No curbing THIS enthusiasm
By AMY KOTLARZ / Messenger Post Staff

"Jake Brown of the Owego area, a student at Keuka College, was standing among a large group of Republicans from colleges including SUNY schools at Albany, Brockport and Fredonia. They waved signs, some of which read "New York loves W, " "New Yorkers 4 Bush " and "Kiss Me Mr. President. " They cheered at any hint of the president and, when they finally saw the long line of flashing lights from police cars, they cheered louder.

After the motorcade went by, excitement flew through the group.

"Did you see him waving? " the students said to each other. "

RESIGN OR DROP OUT OF RACE!

McTiernan moments ago demanded in a letter to her lone opponent to either resign as Credentials Committee Chairman (a position in which he was not elected to) or immediately drop out of the race for New York College Republican Chairman.
Many New York College Republicans share in McTiernan's concern not only because of the conflict of interest in controlling what colleges can be credentialed, but also because of the corrupt credentials process of the past.
At the 2005 New York College Republican Convention, Eastern Vice Chairman Patrick J. Julianio brought to the attention of the delegates that there had not been an election for the position of Credentials Chairman in accordance with the NYCRSC constitution. Vice Chairman Julianio was told "Not to worry about that." Soon after, Chairman Backus appointed his best friend at LeMoyne College (his college) to the position of Credentials Chair. He would later hand pick Robert again to run to fill his shoes. Recently, when former chairman Backus was asked if he would have Robert step down as Credentials Chair, he responded, "Rob is a bigger guy than that!" It is obvious with Robert's recent statement to the truthcaucus:
"Weitzman says his 'hard-count' is much larger than McTiernan’s. A Weitzman supporter says that 'hard-counts' are all that matter. "
Of course Robert would say that his "hard-counts" are going to be larger than McTiernan's when he is controlling who is allowed to credential and who can not credential solely on the basis of support.
Mr. Robert Weitzman,

In order to ensure an honest and fair election, I feel it is only right if you resign the position of Credentials Chairman. It is a complete conflict of interest that you will decide which schools may or may not vote in your own election for Chair. As Chairman of the Credentials Committee, you are aware of the fact that 4 out of 7 seats of your committee are vacant. You have neglected to act on this fact for several months now.

It is time to put this organization back on the right track, leaving the corruption that has plagued the New York College Republican State Committee behind. The first step in moving in the right direction for you is to step down as Credentials Chair. I and many other chapter chairs have serious concerns on the legality of this election if you remain Credentials Chairman during the 2006 election.

I hope you give this request serious thought. The unification of the College Republicans within New York State depends on the credibility and honesty of all candidates during the 2006 election.
Therefore, it is only ethical that you decide immediately if you will remain Credentials Chairman or if you will remain a candidate for NYCRSC Chair.
Sincerely,

Erin McTiernan
Candidate for Chair

(PART II) McTiernan Says Bush Rally a HUGE Success: Thanks the Western Region and UAlbany College Republicans

Today McTiernan proved that New York State College Republicans CAN and MUST unite! College Republicans from both Western New York and Eastern New York came together to rally for President's arrival to New York. Not only did the President get an amazing welcome, but the CRs waited and gave him an even BIGGER departure rally. The best part on the departure was the President was waiting for the College Republicans when he was leaving and you HAD TO BE THERE to see the good-bye and thanks he gave the NYCRs. From this point on, we need to make sure that when the President comes into New York, not just when he leaves, he is looking for the New York College Republicans. Frank Gudice, NYCRSC Chairman, said it best, "It is great to know that President Bush not only noticed the College Republicans, but looked for them on his way out."

McTiernan and most of the College Republicans that attended the rally weree excited by the display of what the future of the NYCRSC is going to hold. McTiernan promised that this was just the beginning of what she has planned for the College Republicans. Like her website says ,"you ain't seen nothing yet!"

After the rally everyone went out to out to lunch to celebrate.

McTiernan Says Bush Rally a HUGE Success: Thanks the Western Region and UAlbany College Republicans

McTiernan announces that the "New York College Republican Rally for President Bush" was a huge success. She wants to thank all the Western Region and University at Albany College Republicans for all there help in making this a success. It was amazing to see the Western and Eastern College Republicans united again, something we have not seen in a year! There will be A LOT more posted later this evening; including photos, more information on it's success, and possible video of the Presidential Motorcade.

From 7-9PM this evening she will be with County Executive Greg Edwards at a town hall meeting. Immediately after she will update everyone on today's success and release an important update on the campaign.

NEW YORK CRs – DO YOU STILL HEAR THE LAMBS SCREAM?

NEW YORK CRs – DO YOU STILL HEAR THE LAMBS SCREAM?
The bone-chilling quest for the New York CR state chairmanship has become the most watched race in America. It’s what I call a “thriller.”
Here is what I know:
Rob Weitzman says he’s still running for New York CR state chairman. A race that he predicts he will win.
Erin McTiernan says Weitzman “doesn’t know who his supporters” are; therefore, she is going to win.
This all brings the mention of the most important hyphenated political phrase in CRNC politics: “Hard-count.”
(And you thought it was going to be “Rodham-Clinton.”)
Weitzman says his “hard-count” is much larger than McTiernan’s.
McTiernan says that he “doesn’t know what he’s talking about.”
A Weitzman supporter says that “hard-counts” are all that matter.
TRUTH says, no way. Just ask Roy Blunt.

McTiernan's Opponent Does not Even know the people endorsing him

The Northern Vice Chairman has reportly endorsed my opponent. However, if you look at the photo that he attaches to the endorsement, Kelly is the shoulder of the guy standing next to the random girl featured as "Kelly." Robert should figure out who is actually endorsing him and not just guess when Backus hands him the collection of endorsements.
